One thing I’d like to show is the results of a simple day of shooting headshots at the office during business hours.
I get it, your crew is busy, and renting a new space, getting everyone to be there on time, etc… can be hard!
Much of my bread and butter work is coming to a company’s shared office and knocking headshots out in the afternoon.
This was a team of 9-10 people who work at the great local Austin company, Urban Foundry.
Are these images creative genius, no. Are they some solid shots that worked for the client’s schedule, yes!
I photographed this team using a hallway in the office. I added a bit of light behind them to separate them from the background, then used a bit of natural light and flash in the front to illuminate the face. Easy peasy for everyone.
By adding the logo and using a familiar circle crop, they look quite modern! Would even be great for a business card.
While the dark paneled wall suited their modern aesthetic, we also walked right next door for an outdoor look as well.
This is probably a government building or affiliated with the University of Texas but it was easy enough to pop over briefly for a quick session and adds variety to the headshots.
Their actual office building had some construction going on outside so we opted to do a group shot next door as well.
I believe this entire session took maybe two hours with the team members being able to continue working, so not bad at all.
