Everyone, please meet the wonderful Stephanie Drapeau!

Stephanie is a soulful, warm, hilarious, intuitive creature and I truly wish I could photograph her every damn day honestly!

We had a few specific but also open-ended goals for this branding photography session.

Stephanie is an actor (amongst many things!) and wanted images that showed more of “her” than the normal 8 x 10 glossy.

The other side of her includes being a writer, a director, an artist, and just an all-around badass human being.

Photographing clients that have a background in writing or acting is such a treat for me!

So much of my method when photographing someone is relying on sometimes ridiculous narratives that help me communicate poses or ideas.

Stephanie could basically read my mind and the energy was true magic during this session!

 

This shot on the above right in the wicker chair is a killer example of her mind-reading.

I said “dude, did you ever listen to Tori Amos” and she was “dude, say no more”.

She immediately knew I was talking about the cover art from Little Earthquakes which is just bananas to me.

She also probably did not say “dude”.

I’m guessing it’s really annoying hearing that you look like another actor when you are one yourself but is anyone else getting Jenny Garth vibes from the images below?
