Yoga with Rona | Austin Branding Photographer

Check out this branding portrait session for a wonderful Austin yoga teacher!

Isn’t she simply sublime?

Here’s my girl Rona from Yoga with Rona showing off her stuff!

I absolutely love photographing athletes, it’s so different from what I trained to do photography wise!

Truth be told, I’m not a yogi and don’t really know much about a yoga practice.

I think I know tree pose and warrior one!?

Rona told me that after years of running,  she was looking for something to practice at home.

I really enjoy her approach to starting a yoga practice at home!

Our portrait session lasted about an hour and was photographed at Mueller Park in the morning so we wouldn’t die from the summer heat!

Rona was so lovely to be around, positive and easy to laugh!

Side note, I need to find out where her sports bras and yoga pants are from, aren’t they adorable?

Thanks so much for this fun shoot, Rona! Best of luck with your yoga practice! xo

Janel + Cody | Dallas Portrait Photographer

Alert the media, I blogged for the first time in 2020!

Last month I headed north to my hometown of Dallas for this adorable engagement session!

I photographed Janel’s family Christmas portrait last year and was excited to see her pretty face (and lover Cody’s) again!

Although Cody and Janel call Austin home, they met while at school in Dallas!

Their group project love story is hilarious btw! Hah!

Any Riverdale fans?

A guilty pleasure of mine for sure but doesn’t Janel resemble Veronica Lodge (Camila Mendes) at certain angles?

All dark hair, dark eyes and flawless skin…..she’s lucky!

We started this session at a patisserie in the West Village called Bisous Bisous!

Check out those adorable Christmas macaroons! Cute!

We then ventured to the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens which I have actually never visited!

It was like a Christmas explosion there but in the best way possible. Think little snowy villages, turtle doves and a partridge in a pear tree.

I love that I was able to use my long lens and create a faux Christmas tree farm vibe!

Many, many congrats to Janel and Cody!

John | UT Graduation Portraits

It’s no secret redheads are having a bit of a moment right now!

Ever since Meghan Markle married Prince Harry, handsome John has been getting a bit more attention!

John’s mom called me from Lubbock asking if I could squeeze him in for his UT graduation portraits the week of commencement!

I was happy to get out in the house (I’ve been on maternity leave!) to spend time with this incredible man!

So in case you don’t know, I had my first kiddo in March. A son named Andy.

Because I’m the sentimental type, spending time with John made me think about the day Andy will graduate college.

Will he follow in his dad’s and grandfather’s footsteps and go to the University of Texas too?

Will college even be a thing then or will having a trade skill be what’s important?

John and I talked fashion, vodka drinks (his fave is the Chilton), and his plans post Austin!

We took about a million photos of John with his cap on backwards. Totally my fault! #gradfail

Isn’t this the sickest sport coat?
