I had a good feeling about Elizabeth and Jason even though I never met them before their wedding day! For one thing they are from Ohio and one of my very best friend’s, my favorite professor and even a former flame are from there. They are just lovely, salt of the earth, laid back, fun people! The wedding took place in Virginia Beach which I had never visited before but fell in love with. The bride wore a vintage black birdcage veil with classic yet rockish lace finger gloves and a compass necklace. The groom was dressed in an adorable handmade vest with a pageboy hat! This wedding is also extra special since Jason is still deployed in Afghanistan and was only home on leave. Much much much love to the new Mrs. Haislip and her soldier! xoxo
Merih and Lula met me in Georgetown which is one of my favorite places to shoot! This great looking couple has been dating for seven years and are walking down the aisle this June. Much like yours truly, Merih doesn’t particularly like having his photo taken but was a trooper and let me take a few romantic photographs of him and Lula! Thanks so much guys! See you in June!
If you can believe it, this couple spent all day moving and then sitting an hour in horrible DC traffic before meeting up with me at Meridian Hill Park for their engagement photos! I was amazed that they were so calm and fun and just amazingly great to be around after that! Engagement photos are almost always my very favorite thing to shoot for the simple reason that we have so much more time together alone than we usually do on a wedding day. David and Caroline, you guys were AWESOME to shoot! I loved working with you two and cannot wait to shoot your wedding next month! Happy early birthday Caroline and see you on May 14th! xoxo
