Mary + Mike | Woodend Sanctuary Wedding

I adored this hip Woodend Sanctuary wedding in Chevy Chase!

Mary and Mike are both bibliophiles with creative writing MFAs and the major theme of the wedding was authors they both love. As one of reading’s biggest fans I loved it and pined for a seat at the Murakami table. Their first dance song was Book of Love by The Magnetic Fields which is a hauntingly poetic song off the 69 Love Songs compilation. Mary and her amigos actually put together all the flowers for the wedding and it came out great! Go Whole Foods floral dept! Also did you see those shoes? Could they be any cooler? I’m so glad these two decided to go with me as their wedding photographer! Thank you so much guys! I know you guys are going to have an amazingly life together full of travel and prose!
