Kelli can humble brag that she has the WSET Level III certification, one of the world’s hardest wine certifications, and is very challenging to obtain.
The girl knows her shiz!
She recently teamed up with Snooti, a woman-owned private wine event company, as a sommelier and needed a killer headshot.
These images were taken at Kelli’s private residence instead of a studio or vineyard.
Whenever possible, I love being able to go to a client’s home for a session. They are more comfortable and having your complete wardrobe around is also so nice.
I’m someone who cannot drink red wine if it’s above 80 degrees, anyone else?
For me, red wine means sweaters, snow, hot tubs, and affairs with ski instructors perhaps…
For the bulk of the “red wine as handy prop” we kept Kelli in darker, cooler weather clothing.
Then we put her in these cute jeans and a white linen blend top for a summery, white wine vibe.
Aww…. see how she’s channeling the Mediterranean while boiling here in Austin.
I asked her to give me a tipsy giggle at the sun face, then to give smug heiress face. Nailed it.
Finally, we put her in a snuggly sweater and had her curl up in a chair.
I wanted a darker wall for this look but was too lazy to go back to the car for my black backdrop so the TV worked in a pinch. Solution-oriented, y’all.
Kelli was a blast to hang out with and made this day a dream!
I was desperately hoping the day would end with us cracking a couple of bottles of wine and then having a poolside dance party with tacos but alas….we aren’t quite ladies of leisure yet! Maybe next year. : )
