I photograph a ton of corporate events here in Austin (and all over Texas) and really never seem to blog the images!

Here’s a few from the Sleep 2019 conference in San Antonio which is put on by the Sleep Research Society!

Sounds like it would be a total snore (see what I did there) but it was actually fascinating!

As a brand new mom, the irony that I was photographing a sleep conference was not lost on me.

We used a white, seamless background for these images and I loved how vibrant they turned out!

Many photographers turn their noses up a simple classic headshots like these but I actually think it’s harder to get a beautiful, clean portrait of someone.

We always strive for creativity and creating unique photographs but making a solitary, flattering image of someone is very rewarding.

I’m loving this three light setup and this lightweight photo backdrop I purchased a while back is holding strong!

Can’t beat that price at all!

I illuminated the background with two fairly inexpensive flash units and used a stable video light to light the subjects.

It’s great using more stable light sources after years of blinding myself with strobes. : )

Hope the attendees of this sleep conference got some rest!
